From JOMO to FOMO

Yesterday in my Warlock’s World, I came into the day prepared not to trade.

But Kenny, don’t you mean you came in ready to trade like the greatest trader on Earth that you are?

Well, yes and no, Blanche.

Of course I’m always ready to find the next great VWAP trade.

But emotionally, I wasn’t fully committed to trading yesterday.

Even though I’m a Warlock, I’m human.

So I was perfectly content to sit back and teach VWAP and find trades for my Warlock’s World members.

This is called JOMO. Or the Joy of Missing Out.

Most traders have heard of FOMO – or the Fear of Missing Out. Well this is the exact opposite.

At first it seemed like the market was going to play ball, as it looked like a kind of “inside” or nothing day.

What I call squadoosh.

But then, a funny thing happened.

Maybe Mr. Market decided that I needed a pick-me-up, because all of a sudden, I couldn’t stop trading…

TAKE WHAT THE MARKET GIVE YOU

As VWAPians, we take what the market gives us. And oh boy was the market feeling generous yesterday.

I lost count on the number of profitable VWAP trades after 12 of 13…

From premarket penny stocks moving rapidly like Janone (JAN)…

To beat names reversing to the upside like Target (TGT)…

To stocks from my rolling watchlist like Redbox (RDBX)…

To stocks that had recently reported earnings like StoneCo (STNE)…

Man, EVERYTHING was working!

Obviously not every day is going to be like this…especially when we’re in a bear market!

Especially in June, when it seems like half the market takes the month off to go boogie board!

Here’s the thing…the market was RIPPING…

But I took what it gave me.

I wasn’t forcing anything. I didn’t abandon the discipline that I teach in Warlock’s World.

In fact I relied on the teachings of Coach Brian King.

Coach King goes live in Warlock’s World EVERY DAY teaching traders how to handle one of the most important aspects of trading – themselves.

And yesterday, I needed to conquer myself and my mindset at the time in order to capitalize on what turned out to be an incredible trading day.
